Many of you within the community probably noticed the change already, but we wanted to come onto Facebook and make an official announcement.
Best Food in Town started in 1991, and for the past 30 years it has been owned by our family. As of this summer, we have finished our transition to retirement from the restaurant business and have now passed things along to another family to carry on our business.
We would like to first say that this was not an easy decision--we came to this country as immigrants and we put a lot of time, energy, and commitment into our business. We will miss the daily interactions with our customers and the stories they shared with us, many of them have been returning for decades and many grew up as kids coming to our restaurant! We are thankful for the Quakertown community that welcomed us and has supported us for all these years and the great friends we have made along the way.
Even though we enjoyed our time, it is very tiring work. We worked 12 hour days, every day except for Thanksgiving Day. Every day was spent busy and on our feet, after 30 years it takes a toll. We are getting older, our kids are grown now and about to finish college, so it is time to live life a little slower.
We want to thank everybody for their support through this journey. Our family will still be living in Quakertown so please don’t hesitate to say hi whenever you see us!
