SEARCH CONTINUES FOR CAROLYN TAYLOR

There remains a large law enforcement presence in the area of Lincoln Road in Purcellville as the search continues for Carolyn Taylor.

Taylor was last seen at approximately 10:40 a.m. on August 23, 2026, in the 18000 block of Foundry Road in Purcellville. She is believed to be wearing a blue sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Carolyn is known to nap outdoors, particularly in grassy or wooded areas. LCSO is asking residents in and around the area where she was last seen to take the following steps on their own property only:

Check your backyard, shed, garden, and any brushy or wooded areas of your property to ensure Carolyn has not stopped to rest there.

Review security and doorbell camera footage from 10:00 a.m. on August 23 through the present for any indication of Carolyn.

We are not asking for volunteer searchers at this time.

Please do not travel to the search area to look for Carolyn. Trained law enforcement personnel are actively conducting the search, and additional people in the area could interfere with search efforts. Checking your own property and reviewing your camera footage is the most helpful thing residents can do at this time.

If you locate Carolyn or have information that may assist investigators, please call the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 703-777-1021.

Friday & Saturday 9-4 -- we need someone to fill in a few days or hours a week.. so if you have a specific schedule this might be the place for you!
