We are currently seeking Servers to join our PV Eats team! PV Eats is a marketplace, restaurant and wine bar that’s as unique as Kaua‘i’s North Shore itself. Serving the Kaua‘i community that we love, PV Eats features a full-service wine bar serving drinks and small bites, a coffee bar, cold pressed juice, and retail store focused on unique wine, cheese, charcuterie, and more.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare room for dining by setting tables, condiments, napkins, service plates and utensils.
-Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
-Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails, suggesting courses, explaining the chef's specialties, identifying appropriate wines, answering food preparation questions.
-Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
-Serve orders by picking up and delivering guest orders from bar and kitchen, deliver accompaniments and condiments.
-Obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bill, accepting payment, delivering bill and payment to guest, returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.
-Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
-Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by manager.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 1+ years of serving experience in a full service restaurant
-Knowledge of service procedures and extensive food and beverage knowledge.
-Excellent oral communication and positive interpersonal skills required.
-Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.
-High school or equivalent education required.
-Applicants must possess a strong dedication toward learning and motivation to progress in restaurant dining environment.
-Possess basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register POS system.
-Must be impeccably groomed, maintain good hygiene, good posture and have required uniform and tools.
-Responsive to constructive feedback from Chefs, Managers or staff.
-Knowledge of liquor commission rules and regulations.
-Possess a valid Tuberculosis Card
