KHSAA GOLF STATE TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND SITE (REGIONS 9-12) CHANGED TO STONECREST GOLF COURSE

LEXINGTON — After consultation and review with Golf House Kentucky, the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) has decided to relocate the State First Round Tournament for Regions 9-12 to StoneCrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg.
Boone’s Trace National Golf Course in Richmond was originally scheduled to host the first round of the state tournament.
The KHSAA released the following:

We realize some teams may have already made efforts to play at Boone’s Trace National Golf Course this season, but we believe this decision will result in the best experience for all participants. Hopefully, making this announcement now allows teams time to make logistical adjustments as they prepare for the state tournament.
We appreciate Boone’s Trace’s understanding and willingness to be part of the KHSAA State Championship, and hope to include them in the near future as the site rotation plan is expanded for future years.
