is owned and operated by Tim Steed. Tim began his career while still in high school where he apprenticed at a local grocery store and has now been processing meat for nearly thirty years. Tim and his wife, Karen, a college science and math teacher, have been married since 1988 and have two children.The whole family pitches in during the busy months of deer season but Tim can be found at the shop most weekdays throughout the year and for very long hours during deer season. Tim and his family are all active members of Central Baptist Church in Prescott. They are also active members of the community, including being avid Curley Wolf fans. At Tim’s, we pride ourselves in keeping clean and up-to-date facilities. Our facilities are USDA inspected. We are family-owned and like to keep our atmosphere family-friendly. Tim is super hard working and is a stickler for giving our customers exactly what they want. We are always looking for ways to improve our equipment and facilities as well as introducing new products and processing methods to better serve our customers and make Tim’s Custom Meats the best anywhere around. The wait was worth it - Burgers for Books has met it's goal TWO YEAR IN A ROW! We are very thankful for our community supporting this effort to improve literacy and the anonymous donor who helped us to reach the $6,500 goal ensuring EVERY student enrolled in Prescott Elementary will receive one book per month of the 2026-2027 academic year!

e:three student ministry is proud to host our Fourth Annual Burgers for Books: A Scholastic Book Fundraiser on Thursday, August 6th from 5PM to 7PM in The Stokes Center at Central Baptist Church. Thanks to generous donors in our community, 100% of the ticket proceeds go towards providing one book per month of the 2026-2027 academic school year to each student enrolled at Prescott Elementary. Additionally, the beef used for our burgers was raised and processed right here in Nevada County. Please save the date and make plans to attend!
