Came out to visit my hometown of Premont, Tx and was told we now have a Coffee shop in town!! It was delicious. They are located inside the only bank in our one stoplight town.

“You always move forward” I think that's what makes life so beautiful and so tragic. Even when pain says you can't, it's your rising chest and breath that says you will. Since Mark died I was looking for a shortcut to reach God. Desperate, as daily I need help on this journey, I realized the shortcut I was looking for was and always will be the Virgin Mary. I found a novena the Consecration to Mary’s Mantle, a 46 day novena. Each of the 46 gold stars on her mantle represent something and during this time I was still trying to think of a name for the coffee house. On the 36th day of my novena it so beautifully dawned on me the name of the coffee shop “The Blue Star Coffee House.” “Blue” for Mary’s mantle and a color that has been associated with Mother Mary for centuries. “Star” for the 46 gold stars that lay gently on her mantle. Even with a sad heart, I began realizing I could still engage in happiness. Life is for living. It’s my hope “The Blue Star Coffee House” can give you that.
