Twenty years ago, we set out to build urban development in Portsmouth, and over eleven years ago, we expanded it with specialty coffee. In the spirit of asking what’s next…
After 11 wonderful years, we have decided to retire Lofts Coffee Company. It has been our greatest pleasure to serve you, and we are truly humbled by the support of the community we built around specialty coffee, great food, and urban living in Portsmouth.
This decision was made with the desire to spend more time with our family and friends, to engage more in serving our community, and to continue contributing to economic development in our beloved city. Urban living, cafés, specialty coffee, and the arts have taken root in Portsmouth; we want to transition into “what’s next”. Over the next couple of weeks, you will see us making changes to the business as we prepare for this transition.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Your support has meant more to us than words can express. Because of you, our success has surpassed all expectations and stands as a testament to what partnerships, community support, hard work, and commitment can do for a small business.
We have experienced consistent growth, a direct result of the recent downtown development in Portsmouth. We all rise with the success of our community. We hope our journey inspires the next generation of entrepreneurs in Portsmouth. If you have a vision, take that first step—you won’t regret it.
As you’ve likely seen, our part of the neighborhood has undergone some changes this summer. This is the latest stage in our plan, and we are excited to continue this work as we build toward the next chapter!
Build where you live.
