💘PORTSMOUTH WORKFORCE💘We’re fighting for free workforce parking.

We need city council to allow workforce to park for free in designated areas. Open up more streets for workforce parking. Expand the definition of workforce to include small business owners, salaried employees, and independent contractors.

We won’t get a damn thing unless you EMAIL city council with your grudges and SHOW UP to city council meeting on Monday August 17th. There is a parking work session at 6pm. City council meeting is at 7pm. You are strongly encouraged to attend at 6pm but you absolutely must show up at 7pm.

Hi, I’m Evie, I’m the GM of Ceres Bakery. If you work in Portsmouth, chances are you’ve been interrupted mid-shift to see me standing at your counter or host stand. I was scared stiff to bother you with my silly little flyer, worried that I’d be waved off.

The smiles, hugs, handshakes, and thank you oh thank you’s I have received from dozens of local workers prove that we the collective workforce have had enough of being taken for granted by the city that we breathe life into.

On Thursday 7/23 I started a petition to bring back the free street parking that was taken away by Portsmouth City Council. We urge them to reverse the recent changes that have caused financial stress on the people who work the hardest in this city. Guess the F what. There are nearly 1500 signatures to prove that people are sick of feeling overlooked.

There are so many Portsmouth residents who have the privilege of failing to see how these changes could possibly be a burden to the working class. Will you all do me a favor and comment why it is so important for city hall to reverse this decision? I plan to collect these statements as evidence of the undo hardship that City Council has caused.
