Thank you so much for the overwhelming reception of our opening weekend on Hawthorne! We’re incredibly proud of our crew coming together over the last week to paint, move, demolish and set up our new space on Hawthorne. Were excited to grow into this space and get our feet wet with all this restaurant has to offer, we’re still getting our regular service 💯 and then we’ll start some new offerings like dim sum carts on the weekends and Tea Happy Hour. For now we’re still working on finding these pesky hidden items from the move and make sure we shake off the whiplash of moving and creating a new space so quickly.

Today is our last day of service at our Belmont street location until we open our doors at 3632 SE Hawthorne blvd Thursday! We’re gonna sell some of our pan-Asian fare out of the doors of the new space today for the Hawthorne Street Fair from 12pm-6pm as well so come support while celebrating our new neighborhood! Will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to move and finalize the new space. We can’t wait to shoe you the new space!

Well “the cats out of the bag”, we start deconstructing/cleaning out our new space this week and start creating our new home for the next 5 years+ the following week. We should be open in the new space by the end of the month. Hawthorne here we come! More details and dates to come, for now visit us at our Belmont location for the next few weeks to help support us on our LAST move.

We originally wanted a better post for today other than saying that we’re closing half of our dining room because of our lack of sufficient air-conditioning for the next few days. We have a HEPA filter, strong enough for the back dining room, and we’re gonna do what we can to keep y’all comfortable. ✨⭐️🌟✨Hold out for just another couple of weeks until we are able to move into our new space… we’ve had it with our current space with so many issues and so many reasons. We officially signed ourselves into a space that y’all already love, has working industrial AC and heating, and this time around we won’t be extorted for $130,000 in order to move into this space. Official, clean, comfortable air year-round and a five year lease plus a five-year renewal? We already signed up and we can’t wait to reveal to y’all in the next few posts.

We are so proud of one of our worker owners Chloe for passing her nursing exam and officially entering into one of the most important roles in our society, healing. A long road is an understatement, she has persevered through heart ache, monumental upheaval and health challenges but she still studied, showed up for us and made our world brighter with her presence. We’re excited for this next chapter of yours and look forward to hearing about another side of service to our community! She’ll still be helping us with our dim sum and service here and there, take a moment to congratulate her!!! 🎊🙌🏽🫶🏽👏🏽🎉

We’re here for your brunch needs, we’re so happy included us in this list with so many delicious spots! Yumcha has always been a great brunch experience for folks to share food and tea. We deliver our exquisite oolong with a table full of dumplings and confections for everyone to share, noodles, rice bowls and even pastries make their way from our hands in the kitchen to your hands at the table. So happy to be recognized as brunch fare and we’re always changing up the menu to bring seasonal dishes and crave worthy nostalgic rare vegan food to your table.

We’re honored to be nominated for Best Vegan Asian Restaurant and our Founding Worker-Owner Chef Cyrus was nominated for Best Vegan Chef! We are blushing so much being on a list with some of the most amazing Vegan Asian restaurants in the world. Voting can be done through the link in our bio, so many delicious Portland spots have been nominated too!!! Our little slice of life in Portland is our dream of doing what we can to stop exploitation in the food service industry both for animals and humans alike. While making kawaii vegan dimsum, whole food broths, pastries and other rare vegan fare. While the world is on fire and life gets harder to navigate through the toxic mania, a little recognition like this puts a little smile on our faces.

We are so thankful for our guests who still show up even when our AC is struggling so hard to keep it cool for y’all and our staff. Some of these days it’s brutal in the kitchen too, especially next to the wok and steam stations. Our garden room has the best AC and since the original build for this building is a gas station they didn’t really invest in a AC unit that works for the larger main space. We’re doing what we can with a very crumbling old and very -not a restaurant- style property. With climate change it’s harder and harder to predict and adapt to record breaking summers after record breaking summer. A good place to start reversing global habitat damage is choosing vegan. 🌱💚 stay hydrated and cool out there!

Last year was such an awesome experience and we’re taking some of the stresses out of the equation this year and bringing more of our magic to this huge market! We’re so stoked to start preparing for the 2026 Vegan Asian Market by We’re bringing more of the foods you’ve come to love at events this year and also focusing on a variety of other items like our sauces, kimchi and chili oil! We’ll also have some frozen available for purchase.
