As a mother of three young girls with gluten sensitivities, bakery founder, Julie Middelstadt, got tired of watching her girls' sad faces every time they missed out at a birthday party or special event. Julie dreamed of creating a rich, decadent cupcake that everyone could enjoy! She wanted it to have the taste and texture of a regular cupcake, but still be able to be enjoyed whether a person was gluten free, vegan, soy free, dairy free, etc. After years of perfecting her recipe, Julie achieved the decadent perfection she was striving for and opened Sinful Confections to share her cupcakes with all! Julie loves taking sweet innocent ingredients and creating wickedly delicious treats!

The secret’s out… we’re heading to the PEARL! 🎉🍪

Sinful Confections is joining the Pearl District Culinary Farmers Market for the final two Sundays of the season—October 18 & 25! We’re so excited to bring our goodies to another Portland neighborhood! 💙

It honestly doesn’t seem possible, but this Tuesday marks FOUR YEARS since we opened the doors to our little bakery storefront! 🥹🩷

What started years ago at farmers markets eventually became this little bakery on Barbur Blvd — and somehow, here we are FOUR years later. We’re still baking, still growing, still figuring things out as we go…and still incredibly grateful that you all keep showing up for us. ❤️

We know we have a LOT of amazing customers who make the trip from Vancouver down to our Portland bakery… so this weekend, we’re bringing the goodies to YOU! 🙌

Find Sinful Confections at the Bluegrass Festival on the beautiful Vancouver Waterfront this Saturday AND Sunday! Festivities kick off at noon and go until about 6:30pm (Sat) & 5:45 (Sun) — and it’s a FREE event!

Come spend the afternoon by the water, listen to some great live bluegrass, and stock up on your favorite gluten-free, dairy-free & vegan goodies. 🍪🧁 We’ll have plenty of treats with us — including some of the beauties pictured here!
