🚜 Tennessee Farmers — Are You Paying Sales Tax You Don't Owe? 🌾
If you're a qualified farmer, nursery operator, or timber harvester, you may be eligible to purchase many farm-related items sales tax exempt.

Some commonly exempt purchases include:
✅ Seed & fertilizer
✅ Livestock feed
✅ Livestock medications
✅ Farm fuel
✅ Qualifying farm equipment & parts
✅ Herbicides & pesticides

Before making a purchase:
✔️ Make sure your exemption certificate is current.
✔️ Bring your exemption certificate or wallet card with you.
✔️ Verify the purchase qualifies for the exemption.

Not everything qualifies. Personal vehicles, household items, and equipment used primarily for personal use are generally not exempt.

At SRS Accounting Services, we're happy to help our agricultural clients understand the rules and make sure they're receiving every tax benefit they're entitled to.
