We served a very delicious crunchy salad at All Yall's we called "Wilda Mae's Broccoli Salad" named after my very beautiful mother, Wilda Mae Ferguson Roberts. Here is the recipe:

Wilda Mae's Broccoli Salad

2 lb broccoli cut in one inch chunks
3/4 cup chopped red onion
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup crisp cooked bacon, cut in 1/2 inch squares

Combine with 1 1/2 cups Wilda Mae's Dressing and mix well.

Wilda Mae's Dressing
Combine:

2 cups Miracle Whip
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 cup apple cider vinegar

We served a very delicious crunchy salad at All Yall's we called "Wilda Mae's Broccoli Salad" named after my very beautiful mother, Wilda Mae Ferguson Roberts. Here is the recipe:

Wilda Mae's Broccoli Salad

2 lb broccoli cut in one inch chunks

The idea for All Yall's BBQ all started with some time spent in Texas learning the finer points of wood smoke and brisket from some of the locals. We ate our way through all the best BBQ joints out around Austin and brought back what we learned to try it for ourselves.

Our favorite cornbread recipe, taken from Helen Corbitt's Kitchen. Ms. Corbitt was director of Food Services for Neiman Marcus, and according to President Lyndon B. Johnson, "the best cook in Texas."

TEXAS CORNBREAD

1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt (Helen calls for 1 tsp, but I think that's too much)

Mix dry ingredients thoroughly , then add

1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup sweet milk
1 egg
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/4 cup melted shortening

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Grease muffin pans or corn stick pans well and heat. We like to use an 8 inch cast iron skillet. Sir up the mixture thoroughly and pour into the hot pans. Bake until done. The bread will be moist and brown on the bottom.
