Rwanda Bean Company We are passionate about people and coffee. We have developed relationships with farmers in Rwanda who cultivate the coffee we so proudly serve.

Pouring coffee, and pouring in to the communities we are grateful to be a part of - both in Rwanda and here. Rwanda Bean Company was established to generate sustainable profits for coffee farmers throughout Rwanda by directly linking them to the market. By seeking to reverse the historically exploitive supply chain, our primary goal is to return the maximum value back to the farms. We achieve this by:

Purchasing beans at a fair price, and investing 50% of our net profits in community development projects - from providing school fees and health insurance, to generating clean electricity in rural villages.

Long before the roast, great coffee requires the skill and care of farmers who grow our coffee in Rwanda. Each roast is a chance to bring out different flavors and get the full depth of what these beans have to offer. What's your roast of choice? Here are more details if you haven't had a chance to try our coffee yet (what are you waiting for!?):

Blonde Roast: Ikerekezo means “vision” and is bright and sweet, with citrus and fruity notes.

Medium Roast: Ikizere means “hope” and is smooth and full-bodied, with nutty and milk chocolate notes.

Dark Roast: Ishema means “proud” and is smoky with dark chocolate notes, with a smooth, satisfying finish.

Espresso: Virunga means “volcanoes” and is a mix of three roast levels, with notes of caramel, cream, and dark chocolate.

A quick guide to Rwanda Bean subscriptions:

1. Choose your amount
Pick 1–6 bags per delivery, depending on how much coffee you brew

2. Find your roast! Whole or Ground?
Choose between Blonde, Medium, Dark, Espresso or Decaf, then choose your grind

3. Set your schedule
Choose how often you’d like your coffee delivered: between once a week or every 8 weeks

5. We’ll Roast it Fresh!
We roast your coffee to order and ship it to your door on your schedule

fresh beans delivered from the roastery every month really is the (coffee) cherry on top of a chemex brew! here is our chemex brew guide:

1. place a paper filter in the Chemex
2. heat water to 205°F. rinse filter
3. add 22g (about 3 tbsp) of Rwanda Bean coffee to 350g water
4. pour 50g of water, then wait 30 seconds
5. slowly pour remaining water in a circular motion over 2-3 minutes…then savor your perfectly brewed Rwandan coffee!
