Dear Loyal Customers....
After 43 years of dedicated ownership and countless sandwiches made at Ozzie’s Deli & Gyros, we are happy to announce that Ozzie and Loulou will be retiring!
With that being said, we are pleased to announce that although Ozzie and Loulou will be hanging up their aprons, Ozzie’s Deli & Gyros will remain open under new ownership. The new owners come from a similar background as Ozzie and Loulou, and we have the utmost confidence that with their talent and skills, they will carry the Ozzie’s name with pride. . The menu will remain the same, as well as all the little details that made Ozzie’s Deli so special to you, right down to the delicious baklava.
Ozzie and Loulou began Ozzie’s in 1979 on McLoughlin Blvd at the Vineyard Plaza, in which they ran their business while raising their four children for 17 years. In 1996 they moved to a new location inside Mall 205. Mall 205 was their home for a wonderful 22 years, where they made many memories, raised their grandchildren, and met many of you. Fast forward to today, our current home since 2018 inside the Pavilion of Adventist Hospital.
Ozzie will be handing over the business on the 1st of July and will be happily spending his retirement days in his garden, fishing and with his 12 grandchildren. Loulou will stick around and support the new owners for a few months with her son-in-law, to ensure a smooth transition between hands.
Loulou will then join Ozzie in retirement and enjoy her days in her home doing what she does best, making amazing food for her family, spending quality time relaxing and with her grandchildren.
We want to thank our wonderful guests and employees for supporting us for the last 43 years. What began as an immigrant's idea of the American dream, flourished to a successful and thriving family business. We cannot thank you enough for the years of support, love and friendships.
The hardest part for Ozzie and Loulou will be saying goodbye to the customers who became family to them over the years.
