☀️ Summer Feeding in Action
📍 S.F. Austin Elementary

Rain didn't slow down Summer Feeding at S.F. Austin Elementary.

The Summer Feeding team continued preparing and distributing weekly meal bundles to families, helping ensure children have access to nutritious breakfasts and lunches throughout the week.

Each Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., families can pick up meal bundles containing five days' worth of breakfasts and lunches for children ages 0–18. Behind every distribution day is a team working to organize, prepare, and distribute meals to the community.

Thank you to the Summer Feeding team at S.F. Austin Elementary for helping make summer feeding possible—rain or shine.

📍 Primaria S.F. Austin

La lluvia no detuvo el programa de Alimentación de Verano en la Primaria S.F. Austin.

El equipo de Alimentación de Verano continuó preparando y distribuyendo paquetes semanales de alimentos para las familias, ayudando a garantizar que los niños tengan acceso a desayunos y almuerzos nutritivos durante toda la semana.

Cada miércoles de 11:00 a.m. a 12:30 p.m., las familias pueden recoger paquetes de alimentos que contienen cinco días de desayunos y almuerzos para niños de 0 a 18 años. Detrás de cada día de distribución hay un equipo que trabaja para organizar, preparar y distribuir comidas a la comunidad.

Thank you, Gregory-Portland Community!

Through the Summer Feeding Program, 500 meal bundles were distributed today, providing a total of 5,000 meals for children throughout the community.

Thank you to the families who participated and to the Summer Feeding team members who helped make this milestone possible.

While students are enjoying summer break, Food & Nutrition Services staff continue working behind the scenes to prepare meals for children throughout the community.

The Summer Feeding team at S.F. Austin Elementary is preparing for weekly meal distribution by organizing and assembling meal bundles for families. Each bundle helps provide children with nutritious breakfasts and lunches throughout the week, ensuring families have access to meals even when school is not in session.

Summer meal service, menu planning, equipment projects, staff training, staffing, and strategic planning help prepare for a successful school year ahead. Every season brings opportunities to strengthen operations and support student success.

☀️ Summer Feeding locations are available beginning June 1 through July 24!
Gregory-Portland ISD will provide FREE meals for children and teens 18 years old and younger. Meals are also available for enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21.
