20 years.

We, the children of Abraham and Gloria, want you all to know how proud we are of our parents. For their unwavering support, their determination, and their dedication to not only their kids but to this taqueria.

It is impossible to put into words what this feeling is. It feels like it was JUST yesterday, when they decided to open doors. When they decided to take a leap into the unknown. They were two immigrants, with small children, who had no clue how to run a business.

But here we are, 20 years later. They’ve been on this block for over half our lives. For almost half of our their lives. We’ve grown up here. We used to do homework at the back table, and even run around after hours. We’ve cried, we’ve laughed, and we have felt the love of each and every one of you.

Gracias. Gracias. Un million de gracias to those who have been with us since the beginning and those who have just now discovered us.

We had always envisioned a big party to celebrate our big 20, but with everything going on with ICE/immigration, we have had to put our plans on hold. We will celebrate with you all at some point this year, we promise ❤️

We aren’t going no where. Cheers to 20 more years 🥂

Thank you to YOU ALL for donating, dropping off canned goods, and stopping by this last week! We were able to provide 35 families with food boxes this week. We have the privilege to drive around and deliver boxes to families who are too scared to leave their home, and trust me, we know what immense privilege it is to be driving right now.

What we do want to say, is that people are scared. It’s scary to open the door to a stranger, or near stranger, and not know what’s on the other side. It makes us extremely sad to see our community, our people, feeling this way. A knock on the door can affect so many lives…

We will continue to accept canned and dried goods through the holidays. Our plan to is to disperse to local churches and food banks. If you have other ideas, we would love to hear them.
