Our Purim Pop-up for P@lestine was powerful & full of precious moments! Huge thanks to for your partnership & co-organizing of this event, and to for hosting us in the sweetest space imaginable ๐๐๐ป
Itโs clear from speaking to those that attended the pop-up on Sunday that the PDX anti-Zionist Jewish community needs more spaces that feel aligned with their values around anti-occupation and the centering of the Palestinian resistance, particularly amidst holidays that celebrate Jewish resistance to oppression & attempted annihilation. We were able to create a beautiful event that reflected our support for P@lestinian freedom and justice, and used our Jewish food traditions to raise money to directly benefit a Palestinian family.
At final tally, we raised over ***$1300***for local community member โs family in P@lestine as they flee G@z@ in search of safety. If you werenโt able to be present at the pop-up but want to support, the link to give is in our bio ๐คฒ๐ป May these funds help the intergenerational families of our SWANA (South West Asian & North African) community members, and may they be blessed with safety and nourishment during this holy month of Ramadan. May it be so, Ken yehi rahtzon ๐๐ป๐ and, if you are so called, the work of the PCRF is always worth supporting.
May we continue to fight in creative ways for collective liberation, and may we use our strength & leverage our power, privilege, and resources to build Olam Haba, a better world ๐ for all, a world where we are all one, Echad. Where when my neighbor is hurting, I am hurting, and I do something to help. Where we care about each other in radical ways, and show up for community care with consistency & commitment. This is the world I am interested in building. I hope youโll join me. Chag Purim sameach, and FREE P@LESTINE โค๏ธโ๐ฅ
