Please welcome Jesse and Tara! Your new coffeeshop hosts! Seal Dog celebrated our 6 year anniversary this month. We have loved serving the uptown Port Townsend community. We have loved getting to know the regulars and sharing the joy and grief of human existence. We believe coffeeshop culture is necessary, vital and revolutionary. An oasis in the day to get a little treat, a little rest, a little energy boost. We are stepping away from the shop at the end of December and welcoming new stewards in February. ❤️
We are so grateful that Jesse and Tara will be continuing the beautiful tradition of good coffee, good service and open hearts at 1012 Lawrence Street. ❤️ They are total coffee pros and know what they are getting into. You can follow them for updates at

Open late this Friday to take part in the uptown night market experience. Tarot readings by $20 for 15 minutes (includes cocoa!)
I love how loosely this thing is organized. There were zero unnecessary meetings and no emails. Just a handful of shopkeepers saying yeah I’m in. It’s basically 1995 on Lawrence st. Love it. We will start at 4. Open 8-2 as usual then have to do some quick cleaning and re-open as a magical portal to holiday cheer. I’ll put up a paper sign up Friday morning or send a message. 🖤

Tomorrow (Friday) is Julia’s last day before heading back to school. We made tiramisu in her honor. It’s been lovely having her at Seal Dog-she embodies the hope and joy I love about this generation. She’s a gifted writer, cheerful soul, excellent communicator, passionate about community and equality, hilarious and silly.🪿 And most of all so incredibly kind. Come wish her well and sign her seal dog shirt! ( a concept I’d never heard of and she teased me without mercy.) Luv ya Dear! Go crush those business classes!
