Hi friends! As most of you know I am the owner of What’s on the menus? Any orders placed this week (today is the last day for this weeks delivery) as well as all next weeks orders 20% of sales will be going to this sweet family. If you would like to purchase any meals for this family as well you can do so and I will be dropping them off myself.

This is what is currently going on with Alex and his sweet family right now 💔
Can we all please show Alex some love… things aren’t good.
He needs us all.
His family just shared the update they prayed they would never have to write.
Alex has been fighting stage 4 neuroblastoma since he was diagnosed in March 2021.
His cancer spread to his brain.
Then to his leg.
He survived a collapsed lung after a biopsy.
He battled life-threatening infections.
His heart stopped during treatment, and doctors fought to bring him back.
He developed intestinal failure and was given only weeks to live.
Alex keeps fighting. It says everything about him.
His family says he overcame every obstacle placed in front of him with a strength that inspired everyone around him.
Just weeks ago, they received another devastating blow.
Doctors told them his latest treatments were no longer working.
Still, they refused to give up, sending Alex’s medical records to specialists at St. Jude, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Penn State, praying someone would have another option.
Today…
His family shared that they’re transitioning Alex to hospice care.
His mom described a moment that absolutely broke my heart.
Alex was asking for the doctors… asking for the nurses to help him,” she wrote. “He wanted to be poked. He was asking for the hospital bed.”
Then she shared the words that no parent should ever have to write.
“He barely communicates and he’s asking for HELP.”
Doctors have now developed a plan focused on keeping Alex comfortable and easing the pain that has become so overwhelming.
Hospice will begin caring for him at home while also helping support his brothers, who have spent years watching cancer change their lives.
Pray that his pain can be eased.
Pray for strength for his parents and brothers as they walk this heartbreaking road together.
And pray that this young warrior is surrounded by peace, comfort, and love every step of the way.
