This Saturday, October 3rd, Trout Street Bar & Grill will be closed for a special private event as we have the privilege of being part of a very special celebration. 💍🥂

But just like buried treasure, you’d better find it before it disappears — Taco Tuesday is available from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. ONLY!

And since we’re talking treasure, Port Aransas has plenty of history and folklore beneath the sand. Long before Europeans arrived, Karankawa peoples lived and traveled along this stretch of the Texas coast. Spanish contact with Karankawa peoples was recorded as early as 1528, and they remained a formidable presence along the coast for centuries.

Jean Lafitte and other buccaneers frequented Mustang and neighboring islands in the early 1800s, and local legend claims a buried chest of gold and jewels was marked by a Spanish dagger with a silver spike through its hilt. Whether anyone ever finds it is another story. 👀🗡️💰

So start your expedition the right way: grab some tacos at Trout Street, then head out and do a little Port Aransas treasure hunting of your own!
