❤️ A Little Update on Scot ❤️
Many of you have been asking about Scot, so we wanted to give everyone a little update.
As most of you know, Scot has been through one of the toughest battles of his life these past few months. What started as open-heart surgery turned into a long and unexpected road of complications and recovery. While we won’t share every detail, we can tell you it has been a journey that has tested our faith, our strength, and our family.
The good news is… he is getting better.
His recovery is going to take time, and he still has a long road ahead, but every day is another step forward. Your prayers, kind words, messages, visits, and support have meant more than we could ever put into words. They have truly carried us through some very difficult days.
Scot is the heart behind Mase’s Place. Long before the doors ever opened, he dreamed of creating a place where friends, families, and strangers could gather around great food, laughter, and community. Seeing all of you continue to support Mase’s Place while he’s been away has meant the world to him.
Although he can’t be here every day, Scot is still behind everything we do. From the way the meat is seasoned, to the way it’s smoked, grilled, sliced, and served, we’re following the methods and standards he built Mase’s Place on. Every brisket, every rack of ribs, every pork steak, every burger, and every meal is prepared the way Scot taught us. We talk with him often, and he continues to guide us so we can keep serving the quality and flavor you’ve come to expect from Mase’s Place.
He misses every one of you. He misses the conversations, the laughter, checking the smokers, working the grill, and visiting with all of our wonderful customers. More than anything, he’s looking forward to the day he can walk back through these doors and do what he loves most.
Until then, we’ll keep doing our very best to honor his vision and keep his dream alive.
Please continue to keep Scot in your prayers as he continues healing. We know God isn’t finished with his story yet, and we can’t wait for the day we can all welcome him back home at Mase’s Place.
