This chair has been with us for twenty five years. It’s been through moves, kids, dogs, and more cups of coffee than I can count. The leather shows every bit of that history. The creases, the scuffs, the faded spots where life happened.

We’ve always loved that kind of wear because it’s honest. But we also wanted to see what our new Macy’s Hearth and Honey Leather Conditioner could do.

After months of testing and adjusting, we finally built a formula that blends beeswax, natural oils, and Idaho craftsmanship into something that truly brings leather back to life. It softens, nourishes, and protects without leaving a greasy finish.

We laser engraved every tin ourselves because when you make something by hand, every detail matters.

This week at Vintage Vixens in Filer, Idaho, we’re debuting the new conditioner along with our Badlands Beard Balm. Both are part of our growing line under Macy’s Hearth and Honey, the new product branch of Macy’s Apples and Hives. Same maker, same Idaho roots, just a fresh name for the things we’re building.

A quick note for leather care. Any time you use a leather conditioner, always test it on a small hidden spot first before applying it to the whole piece. Every type of leather reacts a little differently, and this simple step helps you get the best results.

If you’ve got a favorite pair of boots, a saddle, or a chair that’s seen a few miles, come see us. We’ll show you what a little beeswax and care can do.

There’s something special about small‑batch work, the kind that starts at a kitchen table, moves to a workshop, and eventually becomes a product you’re proud to put your name on. That’s exactly how our Badlands Beard Balm came to life.

For months we’ve been testing, tweaking, and perfecting a formula that feels good in the hands and even better in the beard. A balm that melts smoothly, conditions deeply, and carries a scent that tells a story. And now, under our new product line Macy’s Hearth & Honey, we finally get to share it.

Every tin is laser‑engraved by us, right here in Idaho. Every batch is poured by hand. Every scent is crafted with intention, something rugged, something warm, something clean.

This week, we’re excited to introduce three signature scents:

Citrus — Bright, sharp, and refreshing. It’s the kind of scent that wakes you up, lifts your mood, and feels like stepping outside into a crisp morning.

Kentucky Bourbon — Smooth oak, warm vanilla, and a hint of caramel. It’s bold without being loud, the kind of scent that feels like leather, campfires, and late‑night stories.

Sandalwood — Earthy, warm, and timeless. A classic wood‑rich scent that stays subtle, steady, and unmistakably masculine throughout the day.

These balms are part of our growing journey. Macy’s Apples & Hives is still our company, but Macy’s Hearth & Honey is the new name we’re using for our handcrafted product lines. Same maker, same Idaho roots… just a fresh identity for the things we’re building.

If you’re heading to Vintage Vixens in Filer, Idaho this week, stop by and see what we’ve been working on. Smell the scents, feel the balm, check out the laser‑engraved tins, and grab one before they’re gone.

Handcrafted. Small‑batch. Idaho made.
That’s the heart of Macy’s Hearth & Honey.

Badlands Beard Balm
Leather Conditioner

Both handcrafted right here in Idaho under our new Macy’s Hearth & Honey line and yes, we laser‑engraved every container ourselves.

A Hard Year, but Grateful for the Timing
It’s been a tough year for the orchard, first the spring frosts took our apple crop, and now we’ve had to replace the motor for our well. It was an expensive fix, but we’re choosing to look at the bright side: if this had happened during a full harvest, it could have been devastating. No water means no fruit, and the timing, as frustrating as it was, ended up being a blessing in disguise.

We may not have apples this year, but our trees are healthy, the new motor is in, and the water is flowing strong again. Sometimes the positives are quiet ones, the things that didn’t happen, the disasters we avoided, and the problems we caught just in time.

It’s been a hard season, but we’re grateful for the good that came out of it and for everyone who continues to support us through the ups and downs.
Here’s to smoother seasons ahead and a strong start for next year’s bloom.

Even without apples this season, the orchard is still showing off. There is something peaceful about watching trees settle into fall, quiet, steady and still beautiful in their own way. Nature doesn’t always give us what we expect, but it always gives us something worth appreciating.

Thousand Springs Festival of the Arts is almost here, and we can’t even begin to say how excited we are. This show has been one of our absolute favorites for years, the scenery, the people, the energy, the artists, the food, the music… it’s everything we love wrapped into one beautiful weekend in Hagerman.

We’ve been going to Thousand Springs for a six years, and every year it feels like coming home. There’s something magical about setting up our booth next to the water, seeing familiar faces walk up with a smile, and meeting new people who fall in love with our honey and handmade goods for the first time. It’s the kind of show that reminds us why we do what we do, the community, the conversations, the support, and the joy of sharing what we create.

We truly hope to see everyone there again this year. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and we’re bringing all your favorites with us.

SHOW SPECIAL:
Spend $50 at our booth and receive a FREE 8 oz bag of our vanilla sugar, while supplies last.

Thank you for supporting us year after year. Thousand Springs is a tradition we treasure, and we can’t wait to share another amazing weekend with all of you.

One thing we’ve always believed in is keeping our products simple enough that you can read the label and actually know what’s in them. No long chemical names, no mystery ingredients, no fillers you have to Google. If it’s on our label, it’s something you recognize oils, beeswax from our own hives, honey we harvested ourselves, and ingredients chosen because they work, not because they sound fancy.

We make everything in small batches, right here at home. We melt, pour, blend, and bottle each product ourselves, which means we know exactly what goes into every jar and bar. Just honest ingredients and real beekeepers behind them.

When you pick up one of our products, you should feel confident reading the label. You should know what you’re putting on your skin. And you should trust that what’s inside came from people who care about the process from the bees to the bottle.

Simple. Transparent. Real.
That’s how we do things here.

Every season in the orchard tells its own story, and this year’s story was shaped long before harvest time. Back in the spring, when the trees were covered in blossoms, a hard frost swept through and stopped the season before it ever had a chance to begin. The blossoms froze, the fruit never set, and our orchard stayed quiet all summer.

Looking at photos from last year, branches heavy with apples, baskets full, the whole orchard glowing, it makes this year feel even more surreal. Farming keeps you humble, and this was one of those years that reminds you nature always has the final say.

Because we didn’t get apples this year, we won’t be attending the farmers market for the rest of the season.

We’re still here, still making everything else we love: honey, body butter, facial oil, and all our handmade products. You can order online anytime and choose local pickup if you’re nearby.

Thank you for supporting us through the abundant years and the hard ones.
