What a heartwarming review
Nico & Vali Italian Eatery gave my mom, Nonna, & I one of the most memorable Italian dining experiences we’ve had in a long time.
The 1st thing that stood out was how authentic everything tasted. I ordered the meat lasagna & immediately noticed the hard-boiled eggs layered inside—exactly how my mom used to make it years ago. That small regional Italian touch completely won us over. The Bolognese sauce was rich, balanced, & clearly made with care.
My mom’s gnocchi w/wild boar sauce was incredible. The flavor had such depth & warmth to it that we were all passing plates around the table trying each other’s meals. Nonna chose the seafood linguini & kept commenting on how fresh the calamari tasted & how well done the clam sauce was.
We started the evening with arancini, mussels marinara, & Moscato for my mom + I, which set the tone perfectly for the rest of the meal.
To finish, we shared tiramisu alongside espresso & coffee. The tiramisu tasted unmistakably homemade, rich enough that I joked it almost got me drunk 😂
You can tell when a restaurant values tradition, quality ingredients, & the overall dining experience. This felt like a genuine Italian meal shared between 3 generations of family, & that made it even more special.
