Thursday: 11–8
Friday: 11-10
Saturday: 4-10 (Closed lunch for reserved event)

Whew… this heat is really doing a doozy on us this season! 🥵 With heat advisories and warnings popping up, it’s just not worth risking the safety of our staff cooking inside a HOT food truck. 🔥🚚

We truly appreciate everyone being so understanding as we adjust our hours when needed. ❤️ Even with limited hours, we could still really use your support! Come grab some food, enjoy a cold drink, bring the family, and help us make the most of the hours we are open!

We’re in the FINAL PUSH of summer, y’all! 🙌 Every ridiculously hot day means we’re one day closer to beautiful fall weather, cool evenings, and being able to stand inside the food truck without feeling like we’re being air-fried. 😂🍂

Thank you for continuing to support our little family business through one HOT summer. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

Unfortunately, we recently experienced something we never like having to talk about: two groups enjoyed a meal at The Backyard and left without paying their bill. We have you on video. We know who you are. And you live in town. Not small tickets either.

To some, it might seem like “just one ticket.”

To a small business, it’s not.

The food was purchased.
The meal was prepared.
Our employees were paid to cook it and serve it.
The utilities were running.
The dishes were washed.
The table was cleaned.

Every expense associated with that meal was still paid by us.

The only thing missing was the payment for it.

And here’s something people sometimes don’t realize: if a restaurant operates on a 10% profit margin, a $60 unpaid bill can mean roughly $600 in additional sales just to replace the profit that was lost.

But there’s another cost that bothers us even more.

Our employees care. When someone walks out, they immediately start wondering, “Did I do something wrong? Should I have noticed? Am I going to be blamed?”

They shouldn’t have to feel that way.

We are incredibly fortunate that the overwhelming majority of people who walk through our doors are wonderful customers who support us, encourage us, tip our staff, bring their families and come back again and again.

So this isn’t an angry post.

It’s simply a reminder:

When you support a small business, real people feel it.
And when you steal from a small business, real people feel that too.

Please don’t dine and dash.

Small businesses work far too hard to absorb someone else’s decision not to pay.

Since it’s going to be so hot, we’ve decided to open at 4:00 PM today instead of our normal hours!

LIVE MUSIC CANCELED TONIGHT DUE TO HEAT. We are working with the band for an October reschedule date.

Trust us… nobody hates this more than we do.

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to close today due to the extreme heat.

With these temperatures, it’s simply too hot for our team to safely work in the food truck; and c’mon… how many of you honestly want to sit in 100+ weather right now? We also never want to compromise the quality of the food we serve.

Seeing all of you is one of the best parts of what we do, and this is never an easy decision. But the health and safety of our staff, along with providing the quality you expect from us, has to come first.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and your grace. We’ll be back as soon as Mother Nature gives us a break. ❤️ Stay cool and stay safe!

Just a reminder- We are closed this week for this horrible heat.

We try our best to keep our doors open but we want to make sure our staff is safe. Cooking outdoors with appliances on in a food truck- makes it very unsafe for the cooks with temperatures hovering above 110 in there.

We thank you for understanding. & we are so sorry to disappoint this week!
