Meet Marvy—a familiar face with a heart for hospitality.

For 20 years, Marvila “Marvy” Flores has been welcoming guests, building lasting connections and making people feel at home. 💛

Today, Marvy continues to play an important leadership role at Ellie’s alongside her son, owner Selvin Flores. As one of his most trusted hands, she helps lead the floor, supports the team and sets the standard for the warm, attentive hospitality we want every guest to experience. Even with those leadership responsibilities, Marvy still chooses to serve because the personal connection she shares with our guests is what she genuinely loves.

It started with a longtime regular and one playful request. 🍔

Robert Flint jokingly asked us to make him a burger, so we promised to serve one as a special the following Saturday—his usual day to visit.

The burger was such a hit that it quickly became one of our most requested specials. We kept bringing it back, added an Ellie’s twist—with Robert’s full approval 😂—and eventually gave it a permanent place on the menu.

That’s how the Flint Burger got its name. Join us for lunch and discover why this guest-inspired favorite was simply too good to remain a special.
