We’re officially a few weeks away from transitioning over to Silo Market. Although it’s bittersweet, we truly hope everyone is just as excited as we are.
We know many have expressed their feelings about losing the drive thru. We agree, it will be a change. But more so in a positive way! 5 years ago (this week actually) I opened, honestly to get my passion back for coffee. I’ve been in the corporate coffee world since I was 19. I’ve trained hundreds of baristas and helped open many of coffee shops in California & Texas. I also had a coffee catering company in Arizona. I’ve won barista competitions & truly was 1 place away from making to the Barista World Championship in Sri Lanka (that one hurt).
But slowly I started losing my passion, I was over worked & climbed the corporate ladder a little too high. I wasn’t making coffee anymore, and kinda lost my passion.
Long story short, we moved to Plankinton where I thought maybe just maybe I would get my passion back. Small town, I could actually make coffee again & be able to interact with customers. And maybe save everyone a long drive just for a cup of coffee. Well we did it! And I think the whole small town coffee trend really picked up!
I want to thank everyone for helping me regain my passion, you were all apart of that! I know with opening Silo Market it will pull me away from that “coffee experience”, but I’m excited to share with all of you all the great things we have planned. I won’t lie, it’s going to be bit of a process introducing all our new items, but man are we excited!
