Initial video in the comments| Plainview ISD Backs Award Winning Employee After Driver Allegedly Threatens to Run Him Over
PLAINVIEW, Texas — Frustration over a school traffic line allegedly escalated into threats against a Plainview ISD employee, prompting community outrage and a report to law enforcement.
The controversy centers on a circulating video in which a driver allegedly threatened to run over an employee who was directing school traffic.
“F*** this guy… We been here longer than all these motherf***ers,” the person reportedly said while recording the employee.
The video was reportedly shared on Snapchat with the caption, “and if he your grandpa f*** you too.”
Family members and residents identified the employee as Domingo and rallied behind him, describing a dedicated worker who helps keep students and families safe. His daughter and granddaughter publicly condemned the remarks and defended his service to the community.
Plainview ISD responded with a public statement supporting its employee and confirming that the threats had been reported.
“Plainview ISD is aware of a video circulating on social media involving threats toward one of our employees. Threats toward any member of our staff are taken seriously and have been reported to law enforcement.”
The district also highlighted his record of service.
“We are especially proud to stand behind an employee who has been recognized as a Bulldog Award recipient for his hard work, dedication, and service to our district.”
“Our employees deserve to feel valued, respected, and supported,” the statement continued.
The district’s statement did not identify the person responsible for the alleged threats or announce an arrest or criminal charges.
