❤️ A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS ❤️

As one chapter comes to an end, I’m so excited to introduce you to the family who will be taking this bakery into its next chapter as Two Chicks Sweet Shoppe!

Please welcome Owners.. Deborah Sides and Harold Sides, along with their daughters Jessica Sides Wilson as Financial Services, and Shana Sides as Manager. The Sides family is from Brownsburg, Indiana, and they are so excited to become part of the Plainfield community and serve all of you!

Things will look a little different, and you’ll see some changes as they make the bakery their own. But there will also be some of the old favorites that you know and love, along with new and exciting treats they can’t wait to share with you!

I’m asking everyone to please give them a chance and welcome them with open arms. ❤️

They are working hard behind the scenes to get everything ready, so please be patient as they transition from Two Chicks Wh**ky Business to Two Chicks Sweet Shoppe. They are hoping to open their doors within the next couple of weeks, so keep watching for updates and their official opening date!

I know they are so excited to serve all of you, and I truly hope you’ll continue to support this little bakery that has meant so much to so many people.

The door is locked.

I’m sitting here on the bench, looking around at this little place that has been such a huge part of my life for the last 10 years.

And I honestly don’t know what to say.

I just locked the door for the last time.

Not because we ran out of things to do.
Not because there isn’t more I could bake.
But because my time as the owner of Two Chicks Wh**ky Business has come to an end.

There have been so many moments inside these walls.

The early mornings.
The late nights.
The laughter.
The tears.
The celebrations.
The hard days.
The days when I wondered how I was going to keep going—and somehow, I always did.

And then there were you.

The people who walked through these doors.

Some of you came once.
Some of you came every single week.
Some of you became friends.
Some of you became family.

You watched this business grow, and you watched me grow.

You supported me through some of the best moments of my life and some of the hardest.

And now I’m sitting on this bench, looking at the empty shop, and realizing that the next time these doors open, I won’t be the one standing behind the counter.

That hurts more than I can explain.

But I also know that I have been incredibly blessed.

I got to build something from the ground up.

I got to feed people.
I got to make people smile.
I got to hear your stories.
I got to be part of birthdays, weddings, holidays, celebrations, and ordinary Saturday mornings.

For 10 years, you let me be a small part of your lives.

And you became a very big part of mine.

So as I sit here for one last time, I don’t want to say goodbye with sadness alone.

I want to say thank you.

Thank you for every dollar you spent here.
Thank you for every order.
Thank you for every recommendation.
Thank you for every Facebook comment and share.
Thank you for every hug.
Thank you for every “I love you, Paige.”
Thank you for believing in this little bakery.

Most of all, thank you for believing in me.

I will carry these memories with me for the rest of my life.

The lights are going off.
The ovens are quiet.
The doors are locked.

And I’m sitting here on the bench, taking one last look around.

You were so much more than a business.

You were my dream.
You were my life for 10 years.
And you will always have a piece of my heart.

Today is my last day at Two Chicks. ❤️

I arrived here a little after 3 o’clock this morning, and I’ll be honest… this is tougher than I ever thought it would be.

As I stand here making chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles, and sausage rolls, it’s really sinking in…

This is it.

Today, we will open our doors for the very last time with me, Paige Adams, as the owner of Two Chicks Wh**ky Business.

Yesterday, we sold out early, and I’m sure today will be much the same. So if you’re planning to come in, please expect that our selection will be very limited and that we may sell out.

But we are going to keep those doors open until 3:00 PM, even if we sell out.

Because today isn’t really about buying something.

Today is about saying goodbye.

This weekend has been incredibly hard for me mentally and emotionally, so please be understanding that there will be much less in the shop than you’re used to seeing. I’m doing the best I can to get through this final day.

So if you come in today, please don’t just come for a cookie.

Come share a story.
Come take a picture.
Come give me a hug.
Come say goodbye.

For 10 years, you have allowed me to do something I never could have imagined when I started this little business.

You have supported me, celebrated with me, cried with me, laughed with me, and made Two Chicks so much more than a bakery.

You made it home.

I love each and every one of you more than I could ever put into words.

Thank you for every order.

Thank you for every kind word.

Thank you for believing in me.

Today, I’m going to try my hardest to soak it all in.

One last Saturday.
