If you are interested in permaculture services, please check out http://pittsburghpermaculture.org The Hazelwood Food Forest is a long term project in which we use forest succession principles to build an edible and medicinal forest. We have a wide variety of fruit and nut trees and shrubs, perennial vegetables, medicinal herbs and flowers, and culinary herbs. Our vision is for the food forest to

be a community asset and a gathering space for learning and sharing. We hold volunteer days and workshops as often as we can during the growing season and are always looking for more hands! If you are interested in getting involved with the food forest, e-mail us at [email protected] or join us for our volunteer nights on Wednesdays from 6pm to sundown.
