More Than a Restaurant — A Pittsburgh Tradition ❤️
For over 155 years, the Original Oyster House has been serving more than seafood. We’ve been serving memories.
This week, we’re honored to be featured in a TribLIVE story highlighting the mother-daughter team behind the bar and the generations of Pittsburghers who have made the Oyster House part of their family traditions. From first fish sandwiches to lifelong friendships, every table has a story.
One of our favorite parts of the job is hearing your memories—lunches with parents and grandparents, downtown workday traditions, celebrations, and visits that have become family rituals. Those stories are what make this place special.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of Pittsburgh’s history and your family’s history. We look forward to welcoming familiar faces and making new memories for generations to come. ❤️
