Alex and Jason exchanged wedding vows on the terrace at the beautiful Phipps Conservatory.

Afterward, guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres, including Manchego-stuffed dates, ahi tuna rounds, spanakopita, and many more delicious bites.

Guests were then seated and served a plated dinner with their choice of lemon Parmesan chicken, braised rustic short ribs, or spinach Asiago salmon.

And what better way to end the night than with a late-night snack featuring Pittsburgh’s famous mini pierogies, complete with all the toppings!

Thank you, Alex and Jason, for allowing Bistro To Go to be a part of your special day. It was an absolute pleasure celebrating with you!

Gabby & Tom may have tied the knot in Greece, but they brought the celebration home to Pittsburgh for a beautiful evening with extended family and friends at Franklin on Penn.

The semi-formal celebration was all about dinner, dancing, and spending time with the people they love. Guests started the evening with our Artisan Grand Table Display featuring Simply Meat & Cheese, Sweet Peach Crostini with Palisade peaches, whipped ricotta, prosciutto and lavender honey, Chimichurri Steak Skewers, and Pecan Sweet Potato Tartlets.

Dinner featured Farmhouse Apple C***r Roast Chicken, Jeweled Farro Bowl, Charred Broccoli Florets, Sea Salt Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes, and Butternut Squash Ravioli, which was a big hit with guests.

Dessert was just as memorable, with delicious cakes from Oakmont Bakery, including his-and-hers cakes and an exquisite green layer cake, along with plenty of cookies.

Gabby looked stunning in a simple, elegant white dress, and the entire evening had such a warm, relaxed feeling. Such a lovely couple, a wonderful family, and a beautiful Pittsburgh celebration of a marriage that began in Greece.

Caroline Lee and Michael celebrated a beautiful wedding surrounded by family and friends at Franklin on Penn. ✨

The setting was elegant and romantic, with gorgeous florals from Dormont Florist cascading along the staircases, beautiful floor arrangements, and flickering candlelight throughout the space.

Cocktail hour featured Antipasti Displays, Mini Marinara Meatballs, Mac & Cheese Bites, and strolling cannolis from Moio’s.

For dinner, guests enjoyed Lemon Parmesan Chicken, Beef Tenderloin Tips with Garlic Butter, Whipped Cream Potatoes and Charred Broccoli Florets. Heartfelt speeches from family and friends made the celebration even more personal.

And no Pittsburgh wedding would be complete without a fabulous cookie table. Caroline and Michael’s featured an amazing variety of sweet treats for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.

The evening was expertly planned by Melissa from Devoted to You, with rentals from The 1978 Collection, live music from Cleveland Keys, and KP Illustrations adding another special touch for guests. Margaret James Photography was there to capture all the special moments.

Congratulations to Caroline and Michael. We loved being part of such a beautiful evening!

Early Fall temps are evoking all the cozy fall feelings!

Want to create a little fall Bistro flavor at home? Our sweet potato casserole is a timeless favorite, made even more special thanks to a cherished recipe from my dear friend, Christy. 💛

Ingredients
3 cups mashed sweet potatoes(fresh, no skins)
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs lightly beaten
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 cup half and half cream
1/2 cup melted butter

Topping Ingredients
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation
Combine first six ingredients. Pour into a buttered 1-1/2 to 2 square casserole dish. Mix remaining topping ingredients together. It will look like wet pie dough. Drop little bits of topping over top of sweet potato mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes until hot and browned. Serves 6 to 8.
