We use beans from a handful of micro-roasters (Commonplace, Tanager, Deeper Roots), locally-sourced and glass-bottled Pasture Maid Creamery milk, and handcrafted syrups.

We recently added a $5 card minimum policy at the shop to help with the rising cost of credit card processing. That said, we want to be able to add options that make sense for guests in order to meet the minimum.

Cash is preferred when it comes to small transactions. That’s the easiest option. We will even give you a small discount when you pay with cash. Otherwise, we’re adding some cheap grab and go items to the counter, like fresh fruit. It’s a work in progress.

Choosing love over fear produces a measurable shift in how decisions are made, how relationships function, and how identity is reinforced.

At a practical level, fear narrows options. It prioritizes self-protection, short-term certainty, and control. Love expands options. It allows for risk, patience, and collaboration. When love leads, decisions tend to optimize for long-term value rather than immediate safety.

Psychologically, fear is reactive; it responds to perceived threats, often exaggerating them. Love is generative; it creates meaning, connection, and resilience. Acting from love reduces defensive behavior and increases clarity because energy is no longer spent on avoidance or self-preservation alone.

Relationally, choosing love replaces transactional dynamics with trust. Communication becomes more honest, boundaries become clearer (not weaker), and conflict becomes something to work through rather than something to escape or dominate.

Internally, the result is coherence. Fear fragments attention and identity; love integrates them. You act in alignment with values rather than impulses, which builds self-respect and confidence over time.
