Our mint ice cream starts with a mix of whole mint and spearmint that we grow in our Wilkinsburg Ice Cream Garden™️. It’s washed, chopped and steeped in cream in our kitchen before it’s churned into the freshest mint ice cream you’ll ever have. 🍃we add shards of Guittard Dark Chocolate for that classic combo.

Ice cream has been a part of our (Christa and Katie) lives for 13 years, but it’s been a part of our extended family for decades.

These are vintage scoops collected by Christa’s Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Dennis during their weekends spent searching for vintage ice cream paraphernalia. The result was an insane collection of scoops. These are just some of them!

Aunt Bobbie and a good clear out before moving to Florida and gifted us her collection. We worked with our pals and to create something with the scoops for our shop that honors both family and our love for vintage and pattern!

Stay tuned, it’ll be going up as soon as it’s printed.

Mother’s Day can be tricky for some (hi,👋 it me) and the definition of who truly did the mothering is expansive. (I expect at least three ppl to come in and get scoops for Gina ) We celebrate all of those definitions, traditional or not. So come by, get a treat for the one that shaped you.

And so it begins. Every year as spring approaches we get antsy for fresh produce. Every year it starts with our humble friend Rhubarb, or as I call her, Rhubarbra!

Each year we try to purchase and process enough fruit (Yes, I know rhubarb is a vegetable) to get us through the current season, and into the next. We clean, cook, package, and freeze it in “batch sized” amounts, so it’s ready to use all year. That’s why our strawberry ice cream tastes so fresh, because we use the best local berries and preserve them at their peak!

Our fruit comes primarily from local PA farms. It keeps our carbon footprint low, and our money in the local economy. Plus, the flavor and quality that comes from a local grower just cannot be matched by factory farms.

So yeah, rhubarb. It’s the best.

Hey you supportive friends and family! Your loved one is running or walking the full or half marathon! You’ve stood outside to cheer them on and you both now deserve ice cream! Bring in your runner/walker with their bib and get 1/2 off all scoops!

A few years ago, my very tall friends and I (middle) walked the half. It was a blast. By the end, we compared our distances. And we walked very different races! And I can report, post race ice cream is the best ice cream you will ever have.
