This is a special moment for us.
Last week, Soul Pasta became part of the CMU Supplier & Travel Expo—an event that brings together suppliers and partners of Carnegie Mellon University.
For over two years, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with various CMU departments and teams, providing our pasta, catering, group meals, and food for university events.
Today, we are proud to officially be part of the CMU supplier network.
For a small family business in Pittsburgh, this is much more than just a status. It is the result of daily hard work, the trust of our partners, and the relationships we build step by step.
We are deeply grateful to Carnegie Mellon University for their trust and for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful Pittsburgh community.
If you haven’t visited us yet, we warmly invite you to try Soul Pasta at our location:
📍 314 Arch Street, Verona, PA 15147
And there is so much more waiting for you here than just great pasta.
Our spot is a place where you can spend a whole day by the water:
🌊 Enjoy scenic views of the Allegheny River
🚤 Arrive by boat and take advantage of the amenities at 10.7 Marina
🛶 Rent a kayak and head out to explore the river
🍺 Grab some craft b**r from Acclamation Brewing
🎶 Listen to live music and spend quality time with friends and family
🍝 And, of course, enjoy delicious dishes from Soul Pasta

❤️ Dear neighbors, friends, and community members!
We are the team behind Soul Pasta—a small, growing, family-owned local business. We live right here in Blawnox with our children, and we proudly call this community our home.
Today, we want to share something that is very close to our hearts.
🚒 We are hosting a special charity event to support our local volunteer fire department and express our deepest gratitude to our firefighters for everything they do every single day.
We know firsthand how vital their service is to each and every one of us. They give us peace of mind, knowing that if an emergency ever strikes, they will be there to protect us.
To give back, we are hosting a special Soul Pasta Pop-Up for all our neighbors, friends, and guests! 🍝
We’ll be cooking our fresh, handcrafted pasta live on-site, and 50% of all sales proceeds from the event will go directly to support our local fire station. ❤️🚒
To us, this isn’t just another pop-up or a chance to sell pasta.
It is our way of saying:
“Thank you for everything you do for our community.”
Bring your family, invite your friends and neighbors, enjoy fresh pasta, and join us in supporting the brave men and women who keep our neighborhood safe every day.
🍝 Eat Pasta. Support Firefighters. Support Our Community.
📍 Location: Blawnox, PA
📅 Date & Time: 10-2-26, 4-6pm!
Thank you for supporting local business and standing strong with our community!
With love,
Soul Pasta ❤️

🥬Stuffed Cabbage
This is true «soul food.» Often cooked in a sweet and savory tomato sauce, which makes the flavor deep and cozy.
How to cook:
1. Blanch cabbage leaves until soft.
2. For the filling, mix ground beef, rice, and sautéed onions.
3. Roll them up tight and place them in a pot.
4. Cover with a mix of tomato sauce, a splash of vinegar, and a bit of sugar (for that perfect balance). Simmer on low for 1.5–2 hours.
🫑Stuffed Peppers
A bright and easy dish that families love to bake with a melted cheese topping.
How to cook:
1. Core the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
2. Fill them with a mix of browned ground beef, cooked rice, and Italian herbs.
3. Place the peppers in a baking dish with a little water or sauce at the bottom.
4. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes. Five minutes before they’re done, top generously with shredded cheddar.
Today, Soul Pasta wants to share two easy recipes with you. Which one will you make first? 🥬 or 🫑?
