Why the Gentle Giant Café; short answer for selfish reasons; my desire to live compassionately and that means not harming animals. I don't eat any meat, dairy, eggs or things made with animal products. But what do you do when you go out, you don't always just want a salad....so, you learn what you can, take classes and aspire to open your own compassionate café. But I also want the café to support

charities near and dear to me and teach others how to eat more healthy and compassionate. We will hold cooking classes, have tastings, events, movies and pet adoption opportunities.

We are bust'in out June with new & familiar activities, including the launch of our expanded hours.

As long as the 🌟 🌟 align starting next week we will be open until 6pm on Thursdays & Fridays.
*please note there will be no dine in after 3pm, since I will being doing the extended hours solo. The plan is to fill the grab & go fridge with more options & preorders are welcome for pickup by 6. 💚🌻

I've had discussions with folks about dealing with inflammation. I want to personally cook & eat more foods that will help me in this area. I discovered Dr B, The Gut Health MD on YouTube and found his videos & the information very easy to understand & supported by research. He is not only on YouTube but FB & IG as well. Highly recommend watching his videos. I am going to purchase his books. I will surely pass along what I learn & look forward to doing at least one cooking/info class on this subject. 💚🌻 Please let me know, in the comments if this is something you are interested in learning more about.

We are very saddened to learn of the passing of one of our dear customers Mike Valianti. I am sure many of you chatted with Mike while he was in the cafe because he was always quick to engage in conversation with other diners. He had quite the sweet tooth and often bought our sweets for parties & gatherings where he lived. He loved sharing that people didn't even know the desserts he brought were vegan. After finishing one of many gentle mac burgers he would often say he would keep coming back until I got it right. RIP Mike we will miss your charming wit. ❤️
