Thank you all for the kind comments, and many people have asked why??
To all that worked at, and supported Piru Pizza, THANK YOU.
We opened with the community in mind. The kids leaving school did not have a place to go after school (before we fought to get the Boys & Girls Club back to town) and we wanted to provide a safe place for them.
We wanted to give kids in town a job opportunity, and I must say we have some fantastic hard working youth who have gone on to bigger and better jobs, while learning skills at Piru Pizza. The managers Richard and Esmeralda were great mentors.
However, California makes it very hard to run a small business, yet alone a small business in a small town. It was very costly each month to support the business. In the end, many of you have heard the sayings "Buy local, or Bye-Bye Local" " Think Global, Buy Local".....I believe we had a quality product, and a fair price, however there was not enough business to justify the continued losses. The next owners, fantastic people, who will need your support to stay in business, whatever the business is.....
Thank you again to our amazing staff and customers!!!
