It's with very mixed emotions that I announce I'm closing Fresh Take Home Cooking. I've gotten a job offer in healthcare data and analytics (my old field) that I can't turn down. It's been a tough year with inflation and food costs, and with two kids in college, it's hard to justify the long hours necessary to run the store without turning a profit. I have met some amazing people through this crazy journey, and am so appreciative of this great community and those who have supported me. I truly have the best customers, and I will miss seeing many of them on a weekly basis. I'll be open through April 13th. I'll have farewell treats April 10th - April 13th, so please stop by and say goodbye!
I am looking for a buyer for the business and/or my equipment, so let me know if you or anyone you know is interested!

Did you know we've got several yummy desserts? Stop in and grab dinner, and a sweet treat too! We have lemon blueberry, strawberry shortcake, or tiramisu parfaits; caramel, peanut butter or thin mint brownie bites; and of course Gwen's Gone Nuts Cookies (cookies loaded with almonds, pecans and chocolate chips with just enough dough to hold them together).

We've got pierogi and polish sausage this week! 3 giant potato and cheddar pierogi with 4 oz of polish sausage. Served with cheddar cheese and sour cream and your choice of 1 side. $14

Giving up meat for Lent? Stop by and pick up these pork carnitas enchiladas today before Lent starts! Pork roasted with orange juice, spices, jalapenos and onions, wrapped in corn tortillas and covered in homemade enchilada sauce and cheddar cheese. Served with cilantro lime rice, sour cream and homemade salsa. These are one of my favorites!!

I had a little extra time on my hands today, so made some brownie bites. Almond Joy, Peanut Butter Cup or Strawberry filling in a slightly crunchy brownie cup. Yum! And the perfect size for a little treat to top off lunch or dinner.

Have you tried our burrito bowls or nachos? If you have, give us a shoutout and let us know what you think and what your favorite toppings are! Is it our homemade salsa, queso or corn salsa? The marinated chicken with rice, beans, salsa and corn salad is my favorite! Exploding with flavor and it sure beats fast food! These are ready to eat and you pick whatever toppings you want! Pairs great with our creamy chicken tortilla soup.
This week's entrees are a French dip sandwich, Cajun pasta or chicken piccata. Our soup this week is zuppa Toscana.

Our pasties have been a huge hit! Potatoes, carrots, sweet onion, and rutabaga with either house ground chuck roast or portobello mushrooms inside a flaky, buttery crust. Just pop them in the oven at home. Comes with beef or veggie gravy and your choice of side. Order yours today and pick up the next day, call ahead to pick up the same day, or just stop in and pick one up (if we have any left for the day). In need of some comfort? Our chicken pot pie will do the trick! With an all butter, flaky crust and all white meat chicken, you're sure to love it! I've been making this recipe for 30 years, and it's amazing every time.
