Today's post op appointment went great! To God be ALL the glory! Let me tell you just how good my God is!!!
Based on my MRI the Dr suspected the worst and so did I. However, I had an entire village praying that it would be a different story once he got in there. God heard our prayers. When he got in he discovered that the anchors from my initial surgery were damaging my tendon. The anchors were tearing my tendon each time I raised my arm. He took an internal look and my tendon in fact had healed back to my bone, but there was now a lot of scar tissue that was causing me to experience a "frozen shoulder" along with pain from the anchors ripping my tendon. His solution was to clean it all back up, remove the scar tissue and release the "frozen shoulder", remove the original anchors since they had done their job and were now doing damage, and finally to graft a collagen mesh over my tendon to help promote healing.
From the beginning this has been a hard journey. I was scared to go back through it again and almost canceled my surgery out of fear. But yall, God has been so good to me through every step. This time around my nerve block lasted, my pain has been very minimal, and I already see that my healing is on it's way!!!
Thank to everyone throughout the past 7 months who has prayed for me, prayed for my family, cried with me, sent me daily messages of love and encouragement, sent me flowers, cards, gifts, supported fundraisers, and much much more. I promise that nothing went unnoticed. You and God is what has kept me going through all the pain, hopelessness of ever fully recovering, sad days full of tears and questioning why, and not understanding. You have all been a reminder that God puts people in our lives for a reason and we are called to love each other. Through this journey I have felt an overwhelming amount of love and kindness. I can hardly wait to see what God does next!
