Today's post op appointment went great! To God be ALL the glory! Let me tell you just how good my God is!!!
Based on my MRI the Dr suspected the worst and so did I. However, I had an entire village praying that it would be a different story once he got in there. God heard our prayers. When he got in he discovered that the anchors from my initial surgery were damaging my tendon. The anchors were tearing my tendon each time I raised my arm. He took an internal look and my tendon in fact had healed back to my bone, but there was now a lot of scar tissue that was causing me to experience a "frozen shoulder" along with pain from the anchors ripping my tendon. His solution was to clean it all back up, remove the scar tissue and release the "frozen shoulder", remove the original anchors since they had done their job and were now doing damage, and finally to graft a collagen mesh over my tendon to help promote healing.
From the beginning this has been a hard journey. I was scared to go back through it again and almost canceled my surgery out of fear. But yall, God has been so good to me through every step. This time around my nerve block lasted, my pain has been very minimal, and I already see that my healing is on it's way!!!
Thank to everyone throughout the past 7 months who has prayed for me, prayed for my family, cried with me, sent me daily messages of love and encouragement, sent me flowers, cards, gifts, supported fundraisers, and much much more. I promise that nothing went unnoticed. You and God is what has kept me going through all the pain, hopelessness of ever fully recovering, sad days full of tears and questioning why, and not understanding. You have all been a reminder that God puts people in our lives for a reason and we are called to love each other. Through this journey I have felt an overwhelming amount of love and kindness. I can hardly wait to see what God does next!

I met with the my orthopedic surgeon today to follow up on my MRI he requested at my April 13th visit. He had a few concerns due to my slow healing progress, limited mobility, and continued pain. Unfortunately, his concerns were confirmed. My tendon has not healed and has torn again. In fact, I have a full thickness/complete tear of my rotator cuff again. The anchors are still intact and my bone looks great. On May 21st I will be going back in for another surgery to re-repair my rotator cuff with a possible graft this time.
Please pray for me and my family. This was not the news I was hoping for. This journey has been extremely hard emotionally, mentally, and especially physically. I know that God has a plan and purpose for every trial we have faced and I am trusting Him to get us through this. Thank you for all the love and prayers that have been shown to our family over the last six months. We have felt an enormous outpouring of love from our family, friends, and community.
At this time we do not have an estimated reopening date for The Squeeze Box. If I could be there and serve you tomorrow I absolutely would. It breaks our hearts to not be there every day with you. We love each person that walks in our doors. As you all know Jerry and I own and operate this business together not only as partners, but as husband and wife. In this situation that has made things a little more difficult for us because we have to make sure we take care of our health so that we can take care of you! Jerry and I appreciate everyone that has offered to help us out during this. As of now, with the unknown of how this surgery will go, we will remain closed until we know more. I will post updates as I know more.

Hey friends! I wanted to reach out and give everyone an update on my recovery. As of today I am 15 weeks post surgery. After meeting with my orthopedic doctor yesterday he has decided that it is best to continue with therapy twice a week and try to progress my healing steadly. Unfortunately, but as I was afraid of, it is taking longer for my rotator cuff and other repairs to heal. So again, I am still restricted to no lifting, no pushing, and no pulling with my right arm. He is very concerned that I will re-tear it if I come back to soon. He had to remind me that it is important to remember everyone heals at a different pace and that I had a very invasive surgery.
Right now I am full of all kinds of emotions. This has been a real struggle for me. I feel sadness and guilt for not being able to open and operate The Squeeze Box. I feel like I have become a let down and disappointment to our community. Anyone that truly knows me knows that our customers are not just a number. They're my family. They're our everything. We share our entire lives with each of you. I am very sorry that we will not be able to open yet, but I promise the day will come when we will be back better than ever!! Please just know that I am doing everything I can to get better and back to serving each of you. Please continue to pray for healing, my family, and I.

Today I had my 6 week post op follow up. After my exam, the doctor and I are both happy with my progress. From day one I was made very aware that this surgical journey would not be an easy or fast recovery. It has for sure been a challenge, but nothing that can't be handled with God's help. For now we're continuing the exact same plan of care for another 6 weeks. I can take my sling off at home and therapy only. He wants me to continue wearing it elsewhere. No pushing, no pulling, definitely no lifting, and no driving. I guess Jerry gets to continue being my nurse for another go around. I go back for my 12 week follow up on February 9th and he said "we will TALK about work then". We love and miss each and everyone of you who support us at The Squeeze Box! Jerry and I miss feeding you and sharing our lives with you daily. I promise we will be back as soon as possible!!!

God has been so good to our family and I during this trial, more so than we could have ever imagined. He has placed so many people in my life that have been an inspiration, an encouragement, and a true blessing. Thank you to each of you for the thoughts and prayers, calls, texts, gifts, hugs, love, visits, and all the blessings in between! I am eternally grateful for them all. The overwhelming outpouring of love that we have felt has been amazing ❤️

Good morning sweet friends and family. Just a little update. Surgery went well. Going into surgery I already knew what a "mess" my rotator cuff and shoulder were. Once he got in there he saw it was a little more than the MRI revealed. He had extra repairs to perform, and was able to repair all the damage. I was only able to get minimal rest last night, but I am very grateful for what God allowed. The ice machine is wonderful!! My prayer and plan for the next few days, as the nerve block wears off, is to get the pain managed, under control, and to rest as my body allows.

For all those who gave advice beforehand, I'm very thankful for each of you because it has all helped ❤️.

For all of those who have been and continue to pray for my family and I, God bless each of you and your family. I have felt every single praying. I will be forever grateful!

For all those who have called and text, we are very thankful for your love and kindness. Please forgive us if we miss a call or message, we will do our best to reach out as we can.

For those who gave our family gifts of love, we are beyond grateful for your selfless act of kindness and love. We appreciate it with all our hearts and we pray God blesses you and your families.

We're still so amazed at the outpouring of love and support to our family. We love you all!!

As many of you already know, tomorrow is the big day. I will be going into surgery at 10:45 am to repair my torn rotator cuff. This is a medically necessary surgery for me and was my only option for recovery. It was definitely not a decision that was made lightly. With the decision to have surgery, also came the decision to temporarily take time off from The Squeeze Box. Being closed will allow Jerry to care for the boys and I so that I can properly heal.

We absolutely love our family and friends! The complete outpouring of love, support, and prayers that we have already experienced has been overwhelming and beyond a blessing to our family. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We will keep everyone posted on my surgery, recovery, and progress.

Please be in prayer for Dr Whitaker, all of the medical staff, myself, and our family. This will for sure be a challenge and a journey for us to navigate through. Thank you in advance for all that has been done.

To God be the glory in this trial. He has a purpose and a plan even when we don't understand. I will praise Him through the storm.

With lots of love ❤️ Tabitha Brown Snider

We were very blessed that we had plenty of food prepped prior to the water boil advisory (Oct 15) being in effect which allowed us to open and operate today. We had just enough food prepped to get us through breakfast and lunch. We're at a stand still until the advisory has been lifted and the water clears safety testing. Safe food handling and preparation are very important to us and so is the safety of all of our customers. With that being said, we have made the decision to remain closed tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your business!
