⛈️ Winding Creek Storm Update 🌳

I hope everyone in Winding Creek weathered this morning’s storm safely! From what I have seen so far, thankfully, it does not appear that any homes in our neighborhood sustained significant damage, but there are certainly a lot of downed trees, branches, and limbs throughout the community.

A huge thank you to our community members and Violet Township for acting so quickly to address the trees and large limbs that had fallen across our roadways. Your quick response helped ensure our streets were cleared and that everyone could safely travel through the neighborhood. We truly appreciate it!

As a reminder, any trees or limbs that have fallen onto a homeowner’s personal property are the responsibility of the homeowner to remove and clean up. I saw quite a few properties throughout the neighborhood with downed limbs, so I know many of us may have some cleanup ahead of us.

One of our neighbors also had a great suggestion: let’s use the comments on this post to share recommendations for local tree removal and cleanup companies that you have used and had a good experience with. If several neighbors need similar work, there may even be an opportunity to coordinate with the same company and potentially receive a neighborhood or group discount.

Storms like this are a good reminder of what a difference it makes when neighbors look out for one another. Let’s continue to come together as a community and weather these storms together.

Dear Neighbors,

We want to make everyone aware of a serious incident that occurred in our neighborhood yesterday. A child riding a dirt bike was struck by a vehicle on Winding Creek Way. This post serves as an important reminder to all of us about the need to prioritize safety within our community.

We ask that all parents and guardians speak with their children about the safe and appropriate use of dirt bikes and other motorized vehicles.

In addition, please remember that our neighborhood walking trails are intended for pedestrians only and are not to be used by motorized vehicles. This continues to be an issue in our community.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping to create a safer environment for everyone in our neighborhood.
