A huge thank you to Ahwatukee Foothills News for sharing our story.

When people see a restaurant, they see a dining room, a menu, maybe a favorite table. What they don't always see are the thousands of guests, employees, friends, family members, vendors, musicians, coaches, teachers, business owners, nonprofits, and neighbors who helped make it possible for that restaurant to still be here 31 years later.

We feel incredibly lucky to be part of a community that continues to show up for local businesses and for one another.

Today is Festa della Repubblica, or Republic Day in Italy.

Don't worry, there won't be a quiz.

Back on June 2, 1946, Italians voted to move away from a monarchy and become a republic. In simple terms, it's the day modern Italy was born.

Think of it as Italy's version of the Fourth of July. Different history, same pride.

So if you're enjoying a plate of pasta, raising a glass of wine, or just looking for an excuse to celebrate something Italian today, now you know why June 2nd matters.

This year, we're using our Anniversary Weekend to support families who need it most.

$5 from every 3 course anniversary dinner sold on June 5th and 6th will be donated to the Armer Foundation for Kids. Right here in Ahwatukee and across the Valley, Armer helps families facing serious medical challenges by covering expenses like travel, lodging, meals, and other critical needs.

The stories featured on the back of our anniversary menu are real local kids and real local families. Their strength is inspiring, and we're honored to play a small part in helping.

This is Brody.

Last night, less than 24 hours after graduating from Desert Vista High School, he showed up for his shift at Caffe Boa.

That probably doesn't sound like a big deal until you realize he started working for us when he was 16 years old and has been here for 2½ years.

We've had a lot of bussers over the years. Most are high school kids. That's just the nature of the position. What isn't normal is finding someone who sticks around this long.

While most teenagers are spending Friday and Saturday nights with friends, Brody has spent hundreds of them helping our guests, supporting our staff, and doing whatever needed to be done.

We call him our Swiss Army knife because there isn't much he can't do. Bussing tables. Running food. Hosting. Helping with to go orders. Jumping in wherever he's needed. Always with a good attitude.

More importantly, he's become part of our family.

We're incredibly proud of the young man he's become and grateful that we've had a front row seat to watch him grow up over the last few years.

Congratulations, Brody. We can't wait to see what you accomplish next as you continue your education this fall.

The future is bright, buddy.

One year ago today, “Hasta la Pasta” went from something we said around the restaurant… to something we could actually hold in our hands.
What started as a simple expression turned into a book, TV interviews, signings, and now… it’s officially made it across the pond.
London.
From sitting in front of St. Pancras to riding the oldest subway system in the world, it’s pretty wild to see how far something small can go.
We printed 250 copies. There are 33 left.
Didn’t really think this phrase would take us here, but here we are.

Every year we throw a Customer Appreciation Weekend on the anniversary of when Patrick, Jenni, and Danny bought Caffe Boa.

It’s our way of saying thank you to the community that lets us do what we love. Expect discounts, giveaways, and a whole lot of “community above everything else.”

PLEASE HELP!

We haven’t been open for Father’s Day since we bought Caffe Boa Ahwatukee in June of 2021 because we were always closed on Sundays. But now that we’re open every Sunday, it kind of feels like we should do something for all the great dads in this community like we do for the moms… but right now we’re more lost than husbands trying to figure out anniversary gifts at 4:45pm on the way home from work. 😂

So we need your help, Ahwatukee:

1. Would you celebrate Father’s Day with us?
Yes or no?

2. If yes, what would YOU want to see on the menu?

Would dads want:
• Prime rib?
• Steaks?
• BBQ ribs?
• Pork chops?
• Pasta specials?
• Surf & turf?

Mother’s Day at Caffe Boa was something special.

The dining room was packed. The patio was full. The kitchen was pushed to the limit. And somehow, through all the chaos, our staff showed up big for our guests all day long.

We ended up about 20% higher than last Mother’s Day, which honestly blows my mind considering how busy that holiday already is every single year.

For a small, family owned restaurant, that kind of support means more than people probably realize. Every reservation, every walk in, every toast, every memory served...you chose to spend part of your Mother’s Day with us, and we don’t take that lightly.

Thank you to our staff for surviving one of the craziest restaurant days of the year.

And thank you to this community for continuing to support local, family owned restaurants like ours after 31 years.

Now excuse us while we all recover.

You don’t have to be on the team.
You don’t have to have a player.
You don’t even have to know what DV lacrosse is.

All you have to do is show up, enjoy a great meal, and be someone who cares about the community.

Just let your server know you’re here to support DV Girls Lacrosse and a portion of your check will go toward the cause.

That’s it.

We’ll take care of the rest. 15% of your bill goes directly to support these athletes and what they’re building.
