Our very own George Vasquez was invited to throw out the first pitch at the Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training game ⚾️🌮

Co-owner of Poncho's and founder of Someburros George was born and raised in South Phoenix and worked his way from local little league fields all the way to the pros. He went on to play catcher in the Brewers organization from 1974–1976, known for his rocket arm and throwing runners out at second.

A proud ASU grad, George has always carried his roots with him, on the field and in the community.

Over 50 years later, he’s still serving the community through Poncho’s, keeping Nana Isabel’s Sonoran-style recipes alive since 1972.

A true full circle moment seeing him back on the field with the Brewers, and we couldn’t be more proud to represent. 🤎🧡🤎🧡
