As our daughter Kairos prepares to turn 2, I’m reminded that raising a child is one of the greatest responsibilities God can give us.
It is our responsibility, mine and Ebony’s, to raise Kairos in the admonition of the Lord. To teach her who God is. To teach her how to pray. To teach her to love Jesus. And as she grows, to help her understand that Jesus gave His life for her and desires to be her personal Lord and Savior.
She may only be 2 years old, but the seeds we plant in her heart today can impact her life for years to come. 🌱🙏🏾
We will pray over her.
We will speak God’s Word over her.
We will bring her to church.
We will teach her to pray.
And most importantly, we will show her what it looks like to love and follow Christ through the way we live.
Monday is going to be especially meaningful because Kairos and I share the same birthday. 🎂❤️
I get to celebrate another year of life while watching my baby girl celebrate her second year.
That is a blessing I will never take for granted.
So I want to ask every parent, grandparent, godparent, auntie, uncle, or anyone who loves a child:
What is one thing you are praying that God will teach the next generation?
👇🏾 Drop it in the comments.
And if you believe our children can grow up knowing, loving, and serving God, comment:
“THE NEXT GENERATION WILL KNOW GOD.” 🙏🏾❤️
Let’s fill these comments with prayers for our children.
