Scrolling through old photos and menus and this one stopped me in my tracks.
I’ve been selling platters for over 12 years now. Looking at these prices, it’s hard not to laugh a little. Back then, I could sell a full meal for under $10 and still make a decent profit. Today, charging 3 times that amount for the same menu items barely leaves room after food costs, supplies, and everything else that comes with running a business.
So much has changed. The prices. The economy. The way people shop. The way I operate.
But one thing that hasn’t changed is the work.
I see the process. I see the progress. I see every lesson learned, every mistake corrected, every customer served, and every season that taught me something new.
I may not have “blown up” yet, but I’m proud of what I’ve built and even more excited about where I’m headed.
This old menu is a reminder that growth doesn’t always happen overnight. Sometimes it looks like showing up consistently for 12+ years and refusing to quit.
The foundation has been laid. Now it’s time to level up, lock in, and take things to the next level.
The story isn’t finished yet. 💚✨
