Good morning! Happy Wednesday. Boy howdy is it a big week. It’s the last week for our June Menu (pictured)! Oh I love our June Menu. It’s the last week for our The Attic Youth Center fundraiser, UBE STRAWBERRY 🦄 (V)! And it’s Shawna Smith’s last week! 😭😭😭😭 And to top it all off, it’s my last week. That time. Where did it go?

Good morning, happy Sunday, happy game day, happy Summer Solstice, HAPPY POPPA’S DAY. I’m gonna be basic bitch with my post here and say “Why get dad a tie, when you could get him a CORN CARAMEL DONUT?” And then I would add lots of airhorn after that, like even more obnoxious than it already is. It’s such an old advertising trope, but it works, ya know?

But seriously! Shawna Smith made this lovely holiday special, and one bite will put a lil skip in everyone’s step. Raised donut filled with a honey corn pastry cream, topped with a caramel corn glaze, a bit of toffee, and gold spranks. Gluten, soy, nut, and peanut free! Contains egg and dairy.

Good morning, happy Saturday y’all. Just enjoying this perfect APPLE FRITTER that we make here at Okie Dokie. Lemme walk you thru how we do!

First we take our favorite apple in the whole world, Jonagold apples from Three Springs Fruit Farm (have you ever had one? It’s the tastiest apple I ever did chomp), and we lightly cook them up with brown sugar and warming spices. Let em cool and then chop them up into itty bitty pieces. Then we take our yeasted dough scrap (That’s right, no yeasted dough ever goes to waste here at Okie Dokie!) and fold the apples in. That gets punched down and then fried to a perfect crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside state. And THEN, once we pull it from the fryer we burn our little fingers off so that we can dunk it in an apple cider glaze, also from Three Springs Fruit Farm! Those folks. They know how to apple, ya know?

And then what you get it this lovely lil perfect fritter. Gluten, soy, nut, and peanut free. Contains egg and dairy. I recommend getting them first thing in the AM, because they are sooooo good warm, but we also fry them off all day long, so you’re bound to get a freshie.

Available every day at Okie Dokie, but we do tend to run out near the end of the day. Pre-order is your friend.

Shawna Smith ‘s Father’s Day Special will be announced closer to the end of the day, so that the front isn’t overwhelmed by preorders. But you’ll be able to preorder, for sure. Get your pop’s something delicious tomorrow 🤎

Just a reminder that UBE STRAWBERRY UNICORN (V) is our special of the MONTH! It is a vegan ube cake donut topped with ube glaze, a ring of strawberry glaze, and festive spranks. Gluten, soy, nut, peanut, egg, and dairy free! Contains oat, and legume.

For each UBE STRAWBERRY 🦄 (V) donut sold, we will donate 15% to Attic Youth Center, a local organization that provides resources and support to the LGBTQ+ youth of Philadelphia! We will run this special thru June 28th, so grab as many as you can 💗

Haters will say it’s photoshop, but this is actually how our MANGO STICKY RICE (V) donuts are made. We just pick ‘em straight off my pop’s mango trees. He doesn’t actually live there anymore so THERES NO WAY FOR YOU TO VERIFY IF THIS IS TRUE, you’ll just have to take my word for it.

OKAY YOU GOT ME JUST KIDDING, but for awhile there we made these donuts from the mangoes that my dad grew and would send me every June. We still make them from fresh mango puree, so that’s what’s making that vegan cake extra tasty. And then we make coconut sticky rice pudding, buzz that up and turn it into a glaze. Then we toast some sesame seeds to finish the whole thing with mango drizzle. MANGO STICKY RICE (v), my childhood in a donut.

Gluten, soy, nut, peanut, egg, and dairy free! Contains a gluten free oatmilk (Planet Oat), chickpea water (legume), and sesame. Available all month long for the month of June.

We will have a nice and simple Father’s Day special for ya’ll this coming Sunday, Shawna Smith is making something very delicious 🌽🌽🌽

Hey good morning! How are ya, happy Sunday. Are you a Knicks fan? Good for you, I hope you’re having a great day. I was a huge Knicks fan for no reason whatsoever back in the early 90s. They were a strong team then, John Starks was my fav, but the Bulls were a stronger team and kept them down. Anyway, I digress, cos this is Philly not New York but I sure do love it when a city wins.

I wanna talk to you about our HONEY CORN donut which may be my favorite donut. I say that all the time, I know, but yo I MEAN it. It’s a super fluffy corn cake donut. I infuse the milk with roasted corn, and then that corn gets mixed into the dough with the milk. I used to add a little orange zest, but that got expensive so we took it out. It’s still a great donut tho. And the honey corn glaze? With the granulated honey?? Phew. The whole thing is gluten, soy, nut, and peanut free!

But Carol, you say (HaHa if you know me), why they always look so wonky? Well, a number of reasons- 1) everything is made by hand, so no two ever look the same. 2) we use our twice rolled dough, because there’s no gluten to overwork really. And lastly because I probably need to adjust the levener a bit. But I’m not gonna. Cos the moment you bite into it that fluffy yummy goodness, looks don’t mean a thang. 💗

This donut is available all month, because summer. Also available all month is our UBE STRAWBERRY 🦄 (V) donut special! But only available today is our BREAKFAST PARFAIT DONUT. All of them are tasty treats, come get one!

Oh boy, is it the weekend tomorrow? Phew, this heat is making me lose track of the days. Well, starting tomorrow our Weekend Special will be this here BREAKFAST PARFAIT DONUT. Yes, that’s right. I said to Shawna Smith, I said “hey what should our special be?” And she said BREAKFAST PARFAIT DONUT. So together we imagineered this beauty, but really you have her to thank.

Just like a breakfast parfait! We got berries, we got yogurt, we got certified gluten free granola. Hot dang. Raised donut filled with strawberry jam, topped with a greek yogurt glaze, gluten free granola, and fresh blueberries and raspberries. Finished with a drizzle of honey. That’s right, we took something real healthy and we donut-tized it. I ain’t sorry.

Gluten, soy, and peanut free! Contains coconut, egg, dairy, and oats. Available Saturday and Sunday only!

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE (V)! Our favorite classic is back on the menu, our homage to the classic Good Humor ice cream bar. You can practically hear the ice cream truck coming around the corner!

We flavor our vegan strawberry cake with real strawberries! Then we top it with a vegan whipped cream glaze and dip it in a strawberry shortcake crumble. It tastes just like the ice cream bar. Popsicle stick not included!

Gluten, soy, peanut, egg, and dairy free. Contains coconut oil, a gluten free oatmilk, and chickpea water (legumes). Available to order all month long! Please note our vegan donuts share the same fryer as our regular donuts, but are always fried separately.

We are open in this blistering heat wave, and I recommend coming by early to avoid the brunt of the heat, as we are window service only! We have lots of cold lemonades for you, as well as cold brew, and icy cold sodas and waters.
