On Episode 377 of the Tailgate Guys BBQ Podcast, Brian recaps back-to-back trips that found B’s Que celebrate the American Royal World Series of Barbecue Invitational Grand Championship and then Reserve Grand Championship honors at Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational BBQ. Along with recounting the thrills from two of the world’s biggest competitions, Chris talks about the The Kansas City Barbeque Society Team of the Year race and how B’s Que has become one of the world’s elite teams over the last year.

Still riding the high from this weekend… B’s Que rolled into THE JACK Invitational — one of the most iconic, prestigious, bucket‑list events in all of BBQ — and we walked out as Reserve Grand Champion.
What an absolutely surreal experience. The energy, the history, the level of talent… it’s everything you dream about when you start cooking competition BBQ. To stand on that stage, hear our name called, and feel that moment hit — it’s one of the best experiences of our BBQ life.
So proud of our team. The work, the focus, the heart… it all showed up in Lynchburg. Moments like this remind us why we do it.
And what made it even better? Seeing so many of our BBQ friends and making new ones along the way. The community at all these competitions is something special — the kind of people who lift you up, push you, and celebrate right alongside you.

The emotions running through me right now are impossible to put into words. We’re still trying to wrap our heads around this… B’s Que is the American Royal Invitational Grand Champion. Even typing those words doesn’t feel real.
When you chase a dream this big, you picture what it might feel like — but nothing prepares you for actually living it. Hearing our name called, seeing our team’s faces, feeling that wave of pride hit… unreal. Completely surreal.
This was our first trip to the American Royal, and what an absolute blast. Meeting old friends, making new ones, and feeling the true strength of the .
Thank you to everyone who believed in us. This moment is something we’ll carry forever.
