Field Trip to Barnegat Oyster Collective 🦪☀️🌊

This week the Bar Hygge team took a trip to expand our oyster farming knowledge! This was an amazing opportunity to see & learn all of the work that goes into this process, so that we can incorporate it into service!

The Barnegat Oyster Collective is a farm-to-table shellfish aquaculture organization dedicated to connecting oyster lovers to the diverse products of New Jersey’s pristine Barnegat Bay. The Collective is comprised of the independent oyster farms such as, Genna Shellfish Co., Forty North Oyster Farms, Laughing Gull Oyster Farm, Love Oysters, Schramm’s Shellfish, and MORE!

Easy to say, we had a great time and the team got to see and learn A LOT! Enjoy our photos and come in to slurp down some delicious East Coast oysters! 😋

Our 🍤SHRIMP PO’ BOY🍤 is no joke, so we wanted to bring it back for ya this weekend!

This bad boy has buttermilk Old Bay fried shrimp, coleslaw, fresh Jersey tomatoes 🍅, house-made b&b pickles 🥒 with an Old Bay remoulade on a long roll🥖

We are also running back the Peach Salad and the Plumcot Crumble, so come settle in and try all three!

Top it all off with our APEROL SPRITZ ON DRAFT🍊

It’s the FREAKIN’ WEEKEND🪩

You won’t be able to get this PEACH SALAD🍑 out of your head! Juicy Jersey peaches from our neighbors at Fralinger Farm in Bridgeton, New Jersey, pickled fennel, & baby arugula tossed in a blueberry 🫐 champagne vinaigrette and topped with crumbled blue cheese!

This weekend we also have…

Crab Cake Sandwich 🦀 lump blue crab, bibb lettuce, Jersey tomato, housemade spicy tartar sauce on a brioche bun

Plumcot Crumble 🥧 Phoenix Sun Mottled plumcot from Kingsburg Orchards , almond crumble, housemade vanilla whipped cream

🍺 Back on draft is our refreshing Daily Pils (Czech-style Pilsner), which we are calling the King James Pilsner today in honor of LeBron James joining the Philadelphia 76ers ❤️🏀💙 LET’S GOOO!!!

AS LUKE WOULD HAVE IT… we have a brand SPANKIN’ new beer on for you! 🍺

This is a tradition amber lager at 5% ABV — it’s malt forward with a crisp, clean finish! It’s just like that other breweries amber lager, BUT BETTER! 🙃

Don’t forget, Bar Hygge is the home of our very own brewery Brewery Techne & we use 100% Pennsylvania grains from our friends Double Eagle Malt 🌾🌾🌾
