A Heartbreaking Day for Our Whiteyak Family

Many of our East Norriton neighbors have been wondering, What was this building going to be?

This was going to be the second location of Whiteyak, a Tibetan restaurant, and we were planning to open our doors toward the end of this year.

For nearly four years, our family poured our hearts, time, and hard work into the construction and renovation of this building to make our dream a reality. Sadly, yesterday morning, it was devastated by a fire.

Thankfully, everyone is safe, and that is what matters most. 🙏❤️

We are incredibly grateful to the firefighters and all the crew members who worked so hard to bring the fire under control and make the situation safer. We truly appreciate their courage, hard work, and dedication. 🙏❤️

Whiteyak has never been just a restaurant to us. It is a piece of our family’s journey, our Tibetan heritage, and our hard work.

The building may be gone, but our dream is not.

Thank you to our neighbors, friends, family and everyone who has reached out with love and support. 🙏❤️

This is our very first long slideshow video! We don’t have a social media manager, so this year my son taught me how to make better videos. It took me a couple of hours, but it reminded me that growth happens little by little when we don’t give up. We opened our Instagram account two months after opening our doors, and we’re learning every step of the way 🤍

This year has been filled with challenges, beautiful memories, and deep gratitude. One of our most cherished moments was receiving a blessing from His Holiness 42nd Sakya Trizin at Whiteyak, an honor we will hold in our hearts forever.🙏
