Executive Chef Michael Chow started Sang Kee in 1980 specializing in Peking style duck and Hong Kong cuisine in a modest 20-seat rented facility before moving to the current location on 9th Street. Chef Michael, originally from Hong Kong, made his transition to the Food industry in the 1970s. He studied the intricate method of making Peking Duck, a method passed through apprendiceship, which he has now perfected. Peking Duck is now reknown as a culinary masterpiece worldwide originally from China. Chef Michael is a celebrated Chef in the Philadelphia area.
