I usually pull some pretty crafty April fools jokes to certain folks every year especially my brother, Cody Cook.. he used to be an easy target but he got wise and will no longer answer the phone on this day..
This year is different, not really in a fun or playful mood this year.. soooo
******THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE****
Angela and I have decided to close COOKS BBQ permanently.. We really enjoyed what we did, we enjoyed what we offered to the public as far as quality food and service however, we cannot continue working 80 hours, week in and week out..
we have been plagued with employee issues since opening.. It’s not just us, Ive seen it everywhere, and no one wants to work anymore!! Not sure how those people live, but I’d like to find out.. lol

Seriously.. our physical health, mental health and well being is way more important to us right now.. as of now we plan on taking the rest of the year off and who knows, I may be back at it in 25 with food truck!! I’ve certainly had a lot of people asking for that so that may just be in the works.. for now, it’s rest/relaxation and fishing!!
We thank you all for your support over the last year and it has been a pleasure to serve you all!!

Hasn’t fallen below 100 since we opened!!
Surprise visit on a Friday afternoon, you still ain’t gone catch us off guard cause we do it by the book all day every day yall!! Cleanest restaurant and the best bbq in town!!
It’s almost dinner time, we close at 8 don’t be late!!

Cooks bbq is growing again!!
I am looking to hire a line cook for back of house..experience is preferred but willing to train right individual.. will be running fryers, griddle, cutting meat and prep work..
Also looking for front of house kitchen staff.. prep main kitchen, cooking some food items, plating and sending orders out..

Individuals must be able to work weds-Sunday, shifts May vary from early morning to evening..
transportation is a must!
Pay will be dependant on experience.

Valentine’s Day got ya wondering where to eat??
Well here’s some food for thought..
56.8% women prefer cooks bbq over men!!
We may not be the fanciest of restaurants but women do love our hand cut fries, ribs, rib tips, and hand breaded tenders!!
They’re favorites also include our butt fries, chicken fries, and out loaded pulled pork nachos!!

We’re back at it tomorrow folks and here’s the deal!!
Friday Feb 9th is our first year anniversary of being in business and we’re running deals all month long just to show our appreciation, thank you all for tour continued support!!

Sunday is the Super Bowl and next week is valentines day!!

We’re gonna be slinging .75 cent wings all day everyday from now-on!! This is all day everyday but ya better Get your pre orders in for Super Bowl Sunday!!
Our tailgate packages for 6 or 12 folks can’t be beat so call for details, It’s a lot food for a good party!!
We’ve got bbq sandwiches 2/$5 all day every day thru Feb..
Our pulled pork nachos are discounted for all of Feb!!
Our rib tip special cant be beat and they sell out everyday so get yours earlyy!!

And finally.. we will be rolling out the new JUNKYARD DAWG THIS WEEKEND!! Talk about the ultimate scrambled dawg, it’s got everything on it except the kitchen sink!! hell, I may throw that on there as well, Then I’ll have an excuse not to wash dishes!!

We will also have Mallory Ann Chiarella and Desiree Walters back in house this weekend with all their handcrafted goodies!! Grab your wings, grab some Super Bowl goodies and even some Valentine’s Day gifts for the significant other!!

A lot of folks keep asking why we are closed Monday and Tuesday??
Well folks, we need 2 days off!! however, this is what our 2 days off look like!!
The left Is day 1..shopping, paying bills,running errands,having dinner and then going home to order main groceries from our other 2 suppliers..
Day 2.. firewood ain’t gonna cut it self, so it’s yours truly!!
Angela gets to spend day 2 catching up on housework etc and maybe a good book if shes lucky!!

Why do we do it when we’re both retired and could be sitting at home??

We love what we do at COOKS BBQ!!! We’re a team and we’re building something special.. we manage every aspect of it daily to ensure it’s what we want, how we want it so that we bring the very best to our customers!! Maybe one day we’ll both retire again but for now, it’s hustle and grind and team work makes the dream work!! I cannot thank her enough for all she does and we cannot thank you all enough for your continued support!!
Maybe 1 day we will be open 7 days a week but for now, it’s weds-sun..see yall tommorow !! 😊😊😊
