Thank you!

As we close out our celebrations, DCEO is highlighting Casa de Arte – a traditional Mexican restaurant in Peoria. Every month, Casa de Arte showcases a different artist.

“Our parents came here to provide for us a better opportunity and now it’s our turn to go above and beyond and pass it on to future generations.”

Viva Mexico! This year we were able to enjoy the Mexican Independence Day celebration on Sunday, the 13th. Carla and I had a great time. We ate food from our competitors (lol) and danced all night. It was an amazing turnout for the growing Hispanic population. Thanks to the Peoria Park District for providing the Cefcu center stage!

Had a blast GO DAY Peoria this weekend. Unfortunately we weren’t able to have our food booth but we will be back next year. The last pic is of me starting to paint Frida but a few minutes later, a kid comes by and spray paints over everything. Lol! I guess that’s the fun part of that art activity. It was a great turnout and we look forward on seeing you next year!
